To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what level of security clearance is required for IT specialists employed on temporary visas by IBM (India) who work in Somerset with access to private information about staff of Avon and Somerset Police.

  • please don't forget the Pensions Fund - is there access to this as well ?

What precautions are taken to ensure that data cannot leave SCC premises ? laptops, memory sticks etc.

Secretary of State

Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
