To ask the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families what grants have been made by his Department to independent faith schools in each of the last five years; which schools received such grants; what the denomination was of each such school; and against what criteria determinations of such grants were made.

Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
