To ask Her Majesty's Government further to the Written Answers by Lord Darzi of Denham on 10 January 2008 (WA 216) and by Lord Drayson on 19 May 2009 (WA 290), when the Newcastle primary care trust will offer more than one cycle of initial vitro fertilisation in accordance with the February 2004 National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence guidelines; and whether it will take place before the end of 2009.

Newcastle Primary Care Trust has advised that it currently commissions three cycles of in vitro fertilisation for eligible patients.
