To ask Her Majesty's Government whether they will review the legality of existing public sector databases.

The Government keep their databases under regular review to ensure compliance with both the Data Protection Act and the Human Rights Act. Following the Government's data handling review, all new government databases are subject to an impact assessment specifically to assess the proportionality and legality of the intended data processing.
