To ask Her Majesty's Government how many troops of each of the Guarantor Powers are in Cyprus; and how many troops Greece and Turkey are allowed to have in Cyprus in accordance with the Treaty of Guarantee.

There are no government estimates of the number of Turkish or Greek troops in Cyprus and we have no means of independently estimating this number. There are currently some 3,400 UK Armed Forces personnel based in Cyprus. There is no mention of troop numbers in the Treaty of Guarantee.
