To ask Her Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of the protection afforded by the Vector vehicle to United Kingdom troops serving in Afghanistan.

The Vector light protected patrol vehicle is used in a variety of roles in theatre and has been subject to detailed technical assessment. I cannot comment on the levels of protection afforded by the vehicle, as disclosure would or would be likely to prejudice the capability, effectiveness or security of the Armed Forces.
