To ask Her Majesty's Government further to the Written Answer by the Lord President (Baroness Royall of Blaisdon) on 26 January (WA 16) concerning bonus payments made to staff of the Northern Ireland Office, why the relevant trade unions were consulted if they have no role in the approval process for the payment of bonuses; and what was the outcome of the consultations.

The trade unions were consulted about the bonus schemes. The trade unions are not consulted about the payment of bonuses to members of staff.
