The Royal Parks runs a three year apprenticeship scheme, which commenced in September 2007. There are currently nine first year apprentices and six second year apprentices. Recruitment for a further 10 apprentices will begin in early February 2009.

In 2008-09 there are currently no DCMS staff undertaking apprenticeships or advance apprenticeships, but places continue to be offered and advertised on the in-house intranet for management and administration.
