To ask the Secretary of State for Justice what the maximum quantity of cannabis of which an individual may be found in possession is before it would be considered appropriate to issue a penalty notice for disorder according to his Department's guidelines.

Penalty notices for disorder are not currently available in respect of possession of cannabis. When, subject to parliamentary approval, penalty notices for disorder become available for this offence, the Secretary of State will issue guidance under section 6 of the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001 about their appropriate use.
