To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs what recent discussions he has had with his Japanese counterpart on whaling.
While I have not yet held any discussions with representatives of the Government of Japan on this matter, the UK has consistently voiced its opposition to Japanese "scientific" whaling, most recently at the meeting of the 'Small Working Group', charged with taking forward discussions on the future of the International Whaling Commission, held in Cambridge from 8-
