To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport how many people aged over (a) 55 and (b) 60 years of age were recruited by his Department in 2007-08; and what percentage in each case this was of the number of new recruits.

There were no new recruits aged over 55 or 60 years of age to the Department for Culture, Media and Sport in 2007-08. A total of 10 new entrants below this age were recruited to the Department during this period.
