To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform what the operating costs of the Export Credits Guarantee Department were in each of the last five years.

Operating costs are funded from premium income rather than public funds. Figures for 2007-08 will be available later in October as part of ECGD's annual report.
