To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will make it his policy to raise the limit for the maximum monthly investment into a Save as You Earn Sharesave plan to £400 to take account of inflation since 1991.

The Government keep all savings incentives under review. The average monthly amount saved by employees under SAYE is considerably less than the current £250 limit.
