To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs what plans he has to make infestation of beehives by the small hive beetle a notifiable condition.
The small hive beetle ( Aethina tumida), is a notifiable pest under the Bee Diseases and Pests Control (England) Order 2006 (SI 2006 No.342).
