To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer pursuant to the answer to the hon. Member for Brentwood and Ongar (Mr. Pickles) of 24 June 2008, Official Report, columns 258-9W, on the Valuation Office: databases, whether the databases being aligned include the Valuation Office Agency's (a) geographic information system, (b) automated valuation model and (c) council tax banding tool.

None of the three applications mentioned in the question are databases; however, they will all benefit from the database alignment exercise.
