To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what estimate has he made of the effect on Exchequer receipts in each financial year of the entry into force of clause 144 of the Finance Bill, on rebates to vehicle excise duty.

The public finance assumption is that the clause will have a negligible effect on receipts.
