To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many incidences of theft of metals were recorded in each Police Service of Northern Ireland District Command Unit area in each of the last 12 months; how many successful prosecutions have been brought as a result; and what penalty was imposed in each case.

The number of incidences of theft of metals which have been recorded in each of the PSNI district command unit areas for the period July 2007 to June 2008 is shown in the following table:
