To ask the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families what proportion of staff of his Department did not receive the maximum bonus possible under a bonus scheme applying to them since the Department was established.

The Department was created on 28 June 2007. For the 2007/08 performance year 74 per cent. of senior civil servants did not receive the maximum bonus that was paid. The pay settlement for Grade 6s and below has yet to be agreed.
