asked Her Majesty's Government:

What was the total cost of conducting Lord Darzi of Denham's review of the National Health Service, including staff time and publication costs.

High Quality Care for All, the final report of the NHS next stage review, sets out a vision for the 21st century National Health Service. The report is founded on an extensive year-long programme of engagement in which over 60,000 people have participated. Copies of the report are available in the Library.

The total spend at the end of June 2008 on the programme is £3.5 million.
