Since May 2007, community groups have been assisted on asset transfer projects in 20 demonstration areas; a further 12 areas commenced in April 2008; the Cabinet Office has allocated £30 million in refurbishment grants; and new guidance for local authorities has been developed.

The White Paper will be published before the summer recess.
