To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many foreign nationals were sentenced to a term of imprisonment of 12 months or more in Northern Ireland in each of the last five years.
Data relating to the number of foreign nationals (i.e. individuals recorded as citizens of countries other than the UK or the Republic of Ireland) sentenced to immediate custody are only available for 2006. During this period there were five individuals recorded as foreign nationals who were sentenced to a term of custody of 12 months or more in Northern Ireland.
