To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what criteria his Department uses to prioritise applications received under the locally employed staff assistance scheme.

Our general policy is to treat applications for assistance under the scheme on a first come first served basis. However, we are willing to consider expediting applications where there are specific reasons for doing so.
