To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether dependants of successful applicants to the Locally Employed Staff Assistance Scheme will count towards the total of 600 places on the scheme.

I refer to my written statement to Parliament on 30 October 2007, Hansard, columns 30WS-33WS. The 600 Gateway places are for both former staff and their dependants.
