To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government how much was spent by her Department on translation and interpretation services in 2007-08, broken down by language.

I refer the hon. Member to the answer given to Mr. Goodman on 19 May 2008, Hansard, column 36W.

The Department spent £8,681 on interpretation services in 2007-08. Details of interpretation services are not held centrally and could be obtained only at disproportionate cost.
