To ask the Secretary of State for Innovation, Universities and Skills how many complaints he has received on the Office of Fair Trading in relation to its work on the home maintenance, repairs and improvements sector.

I have been asked to reply.

In the last year for which figures are available (2007) the Office of Fair Trading (including Consumer Direct) received 73,443 such complaints about home maintenance, repairs and improvements.
