To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what payments the Financial Services Compensation Scheme made to Lansons Public Affairs in each of the last five years; on what dates; and for what purpose the payments were made in each case.

The matter raised in this question is the responsibility of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), whose day-to-day operations are independent from the Government control and influence. I have asked the Chief Executive of the FSCS to write to the hon. Member on the issue he raises.
