To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs how many seizures of wild birds species not protected by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora that were imported illegally were made in each year from 2000 to 2007.

DEFRA holds no central records of seizures of non-CITES listed animals. Seizures are made by local authorities.
