To ask the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families what percentage of pupil referral units offer two hours of physical exercise every week.

The 2006/07 PE and School Sport Survey found that 91 per cent. of Pupil Referral Units provided at least two hours high quality PE and school sport a week for at least one of its pupils. Overall, 84 per cent. of all pupils in PRUs participated in at least two hours high quality PE and sport a week.

What consideration is given to children with disabilities? Are they assessed to establish how much, and what type of physical exercise is provided for this group?
