To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer by what means his Department has received confirmation from his US counterparts that payments by the UK to the US for assistance related to the Second World War have been concluded.

The amount of the final repayment was confirmed with the US Treasury in advance and repaid on 29 December 2006.
