To ask the Secretary of State for Justice if he will take steps to set a target to increase the use of video-conferencing by his Department to reduce the need to travel to meetings.

The Ministry of Justice's Sustainable Development action plan which was published on the 14 March 2008 requires the Department to produce a high level transport plan setting out measures that will enable the Department to reduce the impact of business travel on the environment. The increased use of video-conferencing equipment will be an integral part of the plan.
