asked Her Majesty's Government:
Whether they propose to reduce further smoking in public places for health reasons.
The Government have no plans at present to extend smokefree legislation beyond the parts of premises covered by Part 1, Chapter 1 of the Health Act 2006.
The department has undertaken to review the operation of smokefree legislation in 2010.
