To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what discussions he has held with the Prime Minister on the implementation of the announcement at the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting in November 2007 of an increase of UK funding for Commonwealth scholarships over the coming three years.

My right hon. Friend the Foreign Secretary has not had any such discussions. The increase in UK funding for Commonwealth scholarships over the next three years is being made through the Department for International Development.
