To ask the Secretary of State for Justice how many and what proportion of the prison population are currently held in (a) NHS and (b) independent sector secure mental health care places; and if he will make a statement.

The information is not available in the format requested.

Offenders held in secure mental health care settings can be held under various articles of legislation and do not necessarily constitute part of the 'prison population'.
