To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many errors were made in processing tax returns in each of the last five years.

The following table sets out the number of taxpayers whose self assessment tax returns were subject to processing errors during the past five years. The table also details the percentage accuracy of self assessment tax bills during the same period.
