To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions if he will estimate how many (a) UK and (b) non-UK residents would be eligible to purchase an additional (i) six and (ii) nine years national insurance contributions assuming 6 per cent. and 15 per cent. take-up rates if purchasing those additional years were available only to those who already had (A) 10 years or more, (B) 15 years and (C) 20 years or more national insurance contributions in (1) 2010, (2) 2020, (3) 2030, (4) 2040 and (5) 2050; and if he will estimate the costs of such purchases in each case.
