To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many jobs have been created as a result of trade with the EU in the last two years; and how many are expected to be created in the next two years.

The Government estimate around 500,000 jobs in the UK are linked, directly or indirectly, to the growth in the export of goods and services to the European Union since 2004. The Government have no estimate on future job creation from trade with the EU.
