To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many people from Sri Lanka have been granted indefinite leave to remain in the UK in the last 10 years; and if she will make a statement.

Statistics on Sri Lankan nationals granted settlement (indefinite leave to enter or remain), 1996 to 2006, are published in Table 5.7 in the Command Paper "Control of Immigration: Statistics United Kingdom 2006".
