To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government what assessment she has made of the potential use of home information packs to be made by lawyers in the conveyancing process.

The home information pack (HIP) includes evidence of title and standard local searches. Providing it in a HIP will mean this information will be available for lawyers at the start of the conveyancing process. Many solicitors have also become pack providers.
