To ask the Secretary of State for Health whether the UK is affected by the decision by Merck to recall doses of haemophilus influenza type b (Hib) vaccine.
No. The recall of haemophilus influenzae type b vaccine produced by Merck does not affect the United Kingdom because the product recalled is not used in our UK national immunisation programme.
