To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform if he will take steps to encourage a settlement in the postal dispute that takes into account postal workers' views of changes to working practices and pensions.

The Secretary of State and I continue to encourage both the Royal Mail and the CWUCommunication Workers Union—to resolve the current dispute through talks. We have done so at a number of meetings and will continue to do so.
