House of Lords written question – answered at on 1 October 2007.
asked Her Majesty's Government:
When they will publish their response to the consultation document Convicting Rapists and Protecting Victims—Justice for Victims of Rape, which was published in March 2006.
We shall make our views known as soon as possible. We are aware that our published response to this consultation exercise has taken some time to prepare. This is a consequence of the complex issues raised by some of the policy areas discussed in the consultation paper. Our views are now largely settled and we are seeking actively to resolve any outstanding points.
