To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many mobile speed traps operated in (a) each constituency and (b) each council area in Northern Ireland in each of the last three years.

The PSNI have advised that the information is not collated in the format requested. Information is available by district command unit which is co-terminus with council area.

Notes:

1. To date Strabane has no camera safety sites and therefore nil return.

2. Larne DCU had no site in 2004 and 2005.

3. In Down DCU the vehicle was defective from November 2005 to July 2006.

4. In Fermanagh and Omagh DCUs the vehicle was defective from April 2006 to October 2006.
