To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills how much funding the Government provided to meet the start-up and running costs of the General Teaching Council for England (GTC) in each year since its creation; and what proportion of the GTC's budget this represented.
Grant provided by this Department to contribute to the operational costs of the GTC is as follows:
