To ask the Secretary of State for Health what proportion of the £50 million allocated to the National Treatment Agency for capital funding has been (a) bid for and (b) paid out to bidders.

The National Panel received 76 bids totalling £106 million and agreed allocations of £54.3 million to strategic health authorities. On
Funding will begin to be allocated to strategic health authorities early in the 2007-08 financial year.
