The Practical Actions scheme has been developed by the Community Safety Unit in partnership with the Northern Ireland Housing Executive and the PSNI. The scheme provides personal and home security measures to victims of hate incidents where an individual has suffered a hate incident at or near their home or where an individual's home has been damaged as a result of a hate incident. The scheme has been available to victims since February and to date two victims of racist incidents have received support under the scheme.
