To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs

(1) how many cattle were compulsorily slaughtered owing to bovine tuberculosis in each year since 1997, broken down by (a) home country and (b) county;

(2) how many (a) cattle and (b) herds were tested for bovine tuberculosis in each year since 1997, broken down by (i) home country and (ii) county.
