House of Lords written question – answered on 5th March 2007.
asked Her Majesty's Government:
How many British expatriates excluding members of the Armed Forces they estimate to be eligible to register to vote in the United Kingdom.
The Office for National Statistics is responsible for producing population figures, but it is not required to estimate the number of expatriates eligible to vote in the UK, thus this information is not available.
