asked Her Majesty's Government:

How many British expatriates excluding members of the Armed Forces are registered to vote in the United Kingdom.

The total number of British expatriates, excluding members of the Armed Forces, who are registered to vote in the United Kingdom as of 1 December 2006 is 15,090. The Office for National Statistics released this data in its annual electoral registration figures on 22 February 2007.
