The Treasury's spending on postage was £46,000 in 2004-05 and £40,000 in 2005-06. For earlier years I refer to the answer given by the then Financial Secretary to Mr. Osborne on 21 February 2005, Hansard, column 75W. This spending is primarily the franking of letters and packages for delivery by the Royal Mail, and delivery of ministerial pouches, also by the Royal Mail.
