To ask the Secretary of State for Transport pursuant to the answer of 18 September 2006, Official Report, column 2524W, on vehicle insurance, if he will take steps to collect information on uninsured vehicles on a regional basis.
The Motor Insurers Bureau collects detailed information on uninsured drivers on a regional basis and this is made available to us and to the police whenever required.
